Whipping the Whipping Cream

For my first recipe review I wanted to keep it simple and easy.  As it turns out, nothing is ever easy for me. haha.

The recipe I decided to use is called: Quick and Easy Nutella Mousse 




The mousse was not quick and easy! It literally took me 3 days to make it. I decided on Friday night I was going to make it and have it as a weekend treat, boy was I wrong. haha I followed the recipe and I got to the first step, which was to pour the heavy cream into a bowl.  I poured the cream into the bowl and then bumped it and the cream spilt everywhere so I gave up and went to bed.

Today I decided to try again.



The instructions said that the prep time would only take 5 minutes. My prep time was soooo long! I felt like it took forever to whip the cream. It shouldn't have taken as long as it did.



Five million years later I finally felt it was good enough to be considered "stiff to a peak".



My favorite part of the instructions was the "use a piping bag if you are being fancy".
hahahaha i'm real fancy.
I decided i'm fancy and was going to pipe the mousse into a cute little cup and make it look pretty.



hahahaha



Nope. Didn't go well. Not as fancy as I thought I was.  Even though it didn't look pretty it was still delicious.
